Spark Motivator?

Friday, March 29, 2019

I don't know about all THAT! I think at one time I was but now.... MEH. I joined here in March of 2010 and in the first few years I had a lot of success. I learned a lot, lost 70 pounds, and found encouragement and inspiration. I have been less active here but have never left. I regained all the weight and more and now, since November, I have lost about 35 pounds. I am feeling good and doing well but my focus has shifted. It is no longer about the numbers or the weight loss. It is about getting healthy. What works for me is try to watch, fat, sugar, carbs and I use my daily tracker. Friday is my free day and that is my date day with hubby. SO during the week when I crave something I usually tell myself I can have it on Friday. By Friday, I don't usually want it and I don't want to undo my good week I have had. SO I keep things reasonable. That is my secret. I am a positive person so that helps and I ain't no quitter even when I have set backs. There are alof of inspirational stories here. Look around. Make friends, Jump in. And do your best each day. Progress, not perfection, my friends.

I was always told practice does not make perfect, practice makes permanent. That has resonated in me so much! I too try to stay practical and mindful and have found much more success that way!
