Intermittent Fasting

Thursday, March 21, 2019

I've decided to get back to intermittent fasting once again. Not sure why I have taken such a big break actually.

I'm going to try things a little differently this time.

Previously I worked a plan where I would fast 3 days a week. I fasted for 24 hours at a time. My only complaint was I missed sitting down and eating dinner as a family.

So to combat that, this time around, I'm going to try a plan where I fast daily for 16 hrs and only eat during the remaining 8 hours. Ill be able to eat dinner with the family and still get in the fasting hours.

Fasting agrees with me. I find it much more difficult to count calories and macros and fitness minutes etc. Those things stress me out. I'm constantly analyzing. During my previous bouts of intermittent fasting I found I was able to eat much more intuitively and stay in touch with my true hunger level. I was much less affected by cravings and emotional food triggers.

I'll reassess after a week and see where I'm at and if I need to modify the plan at all.

I'm glad fasting works for you! I've tried. I ended up eating 2 days worth of food in one setting so it's not for me! Lol
