End of the week

No significant change to my habits. Today and this weekend is getting organized. My assignment today is to purge my kitchen and clean my refrigerator. Not only to eat better but sometimes we accumulate a lot of food and some expires but we still hold onto it in our cabinets pass the expiration dates That increases clutter and I'm learning that clutter affects mood. I waste a lot of money buying groceries that never get used because I wasn't the type to cook now that my child is an adult. But I'm focusing on making changes to bad habits and after going through a 35 day furlough without pay I realized that if it went pass those 2-3 months of savings I have - things would have gotten real - quickly. So operation get everything in order and on track is in full effect. That includes getting in shape and knocking out this back pain with regular exercise and movement. Whether it knocks it out or not, at least the medical community can completely blame the weight on the issue. So here's to my 2nd blog entry and getting my focus on consistency and movement. Be back next week, for a update and my goal is to walk through SP at least 2-3 times a week.

    You were one of my very first friends when I was active on this site, I've been back a time or two and am now here to read through my old blogs and transfer some of them to my new blog site and then do a reflection on them, etc... I was surprised to see an actual picture of you in the comments, LOL, because you always used an avatar back in the day! Anyway, it's good to see you are still active on here from time to time. How is your daughter and the rest of your family doing?

    Most expiration date are for stores to remove from shelves. Look it up online. You can donate what you don't want to a food pantry or a family in need.

    Cleaning out the kitchen, getting it tidy and neat is a must when changing eating habits. I use to grocery shop once a month...that tells you how much processed food we use to eat. Now I go to the store every 3-4 days.

    I just cleaned out my cupboards too and had a lot of expired food that I donated to the food bank. They took it all. RO2BENT is right...they will take it.

    The food is good for a year past that date. Go to a food bank and they'll tell you they give it to people in need.
