Why I started / Why I Won't Quit

Monday, February 04, 2019

When I started with Spark, my goals were similar to what they are now - feel better, look better, and wanting to live a long, happy and active life. But when I started I was probably focusing more on the first two. Since then, with a lot of health issues affecting my family - especially my parents - the focus has definitely shifted more to the last one. I know there are no guarantees in life. That you can do everything right and still get stricken by some type of disease. But if you do try to take care of yourself, nutritionally, physically and emotionally, you are at least putting the odds in your favour. And even if you do end up with some health challenge - you will be better equipped to face it. So, with that in mind, I really can't quit because this is a lifetime goal.

Well, when you don't take care of yourself, and something goes wrong, you have to feel horrible, you had the chance to change things, and you didn't do it.

If you do take care of yourself, and something goes wrong, you were unlucky, but at least you did your best.
