So here is a bit more of my journey :)
On June 30 2018 I started WW when two of my sisters came to visit me. I decided to go with them and join. It has been the BEST journey I have ever taken! Do I cheat? Yep, every week! I let myself have a "cheat meal" every weekend. When I say a cheat meal, I mean something I won't normally eat. Not a full pizza, or 3000 calories etc. If I want Pizza, I will have it. And I still count every last bite. I have tracked my food on WW app every single day since I started the program. (today is Feb 4 2019 and still going strong). For the first 6 months I did NO exercise at all. I had no interest in it an I didn't even like it lol Well come January, I decided I needed to start doing some. I noticed I was very flabby and I don't want it even worse as I keep losing. So I started WATP the beginning of January. And at the end, I decided to add core/muscle toning also. I don't "love" exercising, I would be lying if I told you I did lol But I do feel so much better since starting it. Now it is challenging me. I started the V Shred and WOW, talk about a work out! LOL
I so wanted to hit my goal before I reached 50, well that didn't happen lol I will be 54 in March :) So now I am shooting for 55 to be TOTALLY at goal! And I WILL DO IT! I am that confidant in the program I am now doing. It works and I LOVE going to the meetings every Sat. Accountability is a huge thing for weight loss. Get some some where if you are struggling, you wont be sorry!
And the most important thing you could do for yourself is TRACK your food! I got myself a Fitbit right after Christmas, after I started my exercising. I figured it might help me stay on track and move a bit. Well it did that and so much more. And the best part, because I come here daily still, is it connects to SP. So I don't have to put anything in.
Anyway, I just wanted to share what I am doing. And I wish everybody the very best on your journeys. And I have to say this, because it is something I have ALWAYS hated heaaring but it is so very true. IF I CAN DO IT, SO CAN YOU! I have been over weight for about 32 years and every year I got heavier and heavier. Now I am finally getting it off and I would 7 1/2 month and going strong still, IT'S WORKING!
What I have lost to date (42 lbs) may seem a bit on the slow side (and I argue with myself on this all the time lol) BUT I eat basically what I want, just in moderation now. And I did give up ALL SWEETS. That was my downfall and why I was gaining so much. Now I can shop without worrying about all that junk food at the checkout counter. And with that "slow" weight loss, I am down over 22 inches total. For the first time in my life, my legs are actually getting smaller. I LOVE that most of all! So the scale says its just a small amount, but my clothes and inches tell me SO MUCH more.
This photo is at 284.6 about 5 lbs less then my start weight of 290.4
This photo is 249.8 (-40.6 lbs)
This is Christmas feeling pretty darn good :) at 251.6 (-38.8)
Come on people. YOU CAN DO IT! Have faith in yourself and it will happen. :)
