Front squat: 110 lbs
Floor press: 90 lbs (just could not do 95 no matter how hard I tried)
Strict press: 60 lbs (again, tried so hard for 65, but just couldn't do it)
Deadlift (hex bar): 285 lbs
Sumo deadlift: 215 lbs

    Yup, loosing body fat, building muscle all helps with blood sugar control. But the biggest impact on blood sugar is what you eat. Avoid sugar, avoid refined carbs, like bread (which has ground wheat).

    Sugar is 100% carbs, and ground wheat is 75% (of the weight) carbs. So a heck of lot like sugar when digestion starts. Sounds like you are doing well.
