Just one little thing for today? A little bit less on my plate (food, that is). I can eat just a little less at every meal without missing anything.

The "big grin for every one" day was so much fun, I repeated it for several days. Wish I could remember to do it every day but I seem to have to make a conscious effort even though the smiles I get in return are highly rewarding.

Currently reading "The Little Book of Hygge" by Meik Wiking, subtitled "Danish Secrets to Happy Living". Hygge (pronounced hoo-ga) is a Danish word that refers to comfort and coziness. Example: that feeling you get when sitting in your favorite chair in front of a fireplace with a soft afghan around you and a cup of tea on the end table and a book in your lap while the snow falls in big flakes outside. I love winter!

Being an introvert means I find hygge while alone. According to the book, most people find hygge in situations with a few friends - cooking, then enjoying a meal together or while gathered around a board game and sipping spiked coffee.

What's your favorite hygge moment? emoticon emoticon
