I chose the Keto diet as the way to lose weight. I did pretty well until Thanksgiving, at which time two things happened: (i) I fell of the wagon and (ii) the amount of hair that was falling out was increasing. I did a little online research (I know that's only partially accurate, but it's all I have) and the suggestion was to take a little break.
Well, of course you don't have to tell me that twice! I didn't really diet from Thanksgiving until this week, so a 7 week break. I didn't weigh myself on Monday; I told myself that I didn't need that mental picture bringing me down. I vowed to not weigh until the first week in February, hoping to minimize the mental damage and hopefully by then I'll be close to where I was 7 weeks ago.
Today, I wore a skirt that doesn't fit if I gain any weight. It still fits (though maybe a bit tighter than the last time I wore it) which tells me that I may not be as bad off as I expected. That gave me a little bit of a boost!
But I'm always amazed at how much better I feel when I'm on the Keto diet. And I'm trying to figure out, knowing that, why I fall off the wagon. Hopefully I'll be smarter this year!
Keto on and thanks for listening Sparkpeople!
