2019 - Whee!

I spent New Year's Eve at the Midnight Special party at WFMT - left home about 6:15 PM, got some groceries & ate some supper, then to the station by 8:30, greeted guests from 9 > 9:55, then live folk singers/musicians until 1:15. All the revelers sang a bit with the professionals. Home at 2:01, about normal. Tired but not exhausted. Awake again in time for the King's College performance of 9 Lessons & Carols.
Found my address book, so finally can get the Xmas cards out - I was limited before to the return addresses on the ones I received.
Just back from the Driehaus Museum, where I have been meaning to go for 10 years. Lots of marble, & heavily Victorian - not my favorite architectural period. Two exhibits are closing on Sunday - one, Portraits from the Gilded Age in New York, the other same period Chicago. I think my great-grandparents knew some of the Chicago ones.
