Mile under 15 minutes

So, despite doing crossfit this morning, I had some extra energy this evening so I went to the gym. Was going to run1/2 mile intervals but decided to just run a whole mile. Seeing as I've done almost no running in the past months and last time to run a mile I had to train for like 2 months, that would be impressive enough, but I managed to get the pace under 15 minutes, 14 50 to be exact. I know it's slow but my previous mile was 16 20 so I'm thrilled. It's fascinating how crossfit seems to be the key for me to improve at running... no amount of me just running was going to have me improve that much. Yay squats and deadlifts!
