Jonathon Cahn wrote a book entitled, "The Book of Mysteries," with a new mystery for every day of the year. I use it with my quiet time every morning and love each and every mystery. This is my 2nd time through from beginning to end. (You can pick up a copy for less at Hobby Lobby, if you have a store near!).

Today's mystery refers to the word "Peleh." Isaiah 9:6, For a child is born to us,
a son is given to us.
The government will rest on his shoulders.
And he will be called:
Wonderful Counselor,[d] Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

The word "wonderful" is translated from Peleh, which meant"wonder" or "miracle." It's above our ability to fully grasp or understand. Way above us! It can also mean: too high, too hard, too great, too much, too difficult to attain. That makes sense to me. He (Jesus) is still a wonder to me! It seems as though the more I study, it's clear the less I really know. Why would someone send His Son to die for all of MY wrongs/sins?? As Cahn writes, I wonder over His mercy, the fact that God loves me, that I have been saved by His grace and not something I have or could have earned. I wonder how I could have been forgiven of everything and how it is that I am blessed every day if I only keep my eyes and heart open to recognize these blessings! He does the impossible! Makes me His own...an heir undeserved!

I pray that you will have your eyes, ears and hearts open to his blessings today!
