'Tis the Season -
Tuesday, December 18, 2018
It is a time of celebration. A time for friends and family. A time to adjust to the change of seasons. A time to Rejoice in the end of a year and the start of a New Year. There is so much to do, and I love it all.
Our Family won't be coming home for Christmas this year, but that doesn't stop Al and I from decorating the house and planning an enjoyable meal for Christmas.
Over the years that we have been together we have set many traditions. One of our favorites is decorating the tree together with Christmas music playing and a glass of champagne at hand.
The decorating is done and the cards are in the mail. One last clean sweep and I will be ready to welcome fellow book club members to our home for our Christmas luncheon on Thursday.
Great friends, squash soup, a green salad with apples and blueberries, a roll and a small glass of white wine will make for a grand occasion.
The book discussion will be on a wonderful story called Christmas Bells by Jennifer Chiaverini. I am so glad I read it and that I will be able to share my thoughts with others.
I still believe that you can do it all. I have learned that moderation is the key.
