Going against the odds

Wednesday, October 24, 2018

We listen to the warnings and we know what we are up against. The consequences may be against us and possibly a counter suit of us being neglectful and endangerment. We are doing everything we can to learn and be prepared. We’ve been told over and over how many special needs kids are sexually abused and are not reported or the cases never make it to trial. The defense will try to prove she was a willing participant and is of age and was not forced. These “kids” don’t have the support, the people believing them, or the persistent parents pressing it for them. It is usually dismissed, learned there lesson, should know better, it’s there own fault. We are making a stand for my daughter and the other “kids” without a voice. We were informed Group homes has a major problem but the prosecutor would have to go against the state and not willing to do that, and the home would be exposed so they remain keeping the dirty secret.

You are doing what is right. I know you understand this. For me you are very brave indeed. You are the voice for the voiceless.

God bless you for being a champion for your daughter and others who are being hurt .
It is during these darkest moments in time, God raises up voices to speak up for those who can not speak up for themselves.
Praise God you are willing to be a voice.

I've dealt with this realm before and it is a population that has fallen through the cracks in society. It's disappointing, frustrating, and enough to make me nuts when I see people up against the system. Yes, I do know about group homes. We never know which way to turn to make the best choices when none seem to be available. Stay strong.

Special Needs children are so trusting. They are not aware of when they are putting themselves in danger. Until people are educated to their needs, things like this will continue to happen. Thank you for taking a stand in this and letting our special kids know they are loved.
