The Power of Tracking

Good morning!

It's been two weeks since my last blog entry... so much for an entry every day, ooops!

I have failed to plan and track my meals this past week and it showed on the scale this morning. I gained almost 3 pounds. I didn't eat "bad foods", I just wasn't being mindful of portion sizes because I wasn't tracking it. Yes, I'm irritated with myself, but I'm not focusing on it. I know what I did wrong, and I know how to fix it. This is the start of a new week, and it will be spent getting refocused and back on track.

I have a pretty exciting lunch meeting on Friday at The Cheesecake Factory - I'm not saying what it's for yet, but once I am able to tell you I will. Aaaaaah the suspense! LOL But... I've got to look at the menu and see what is plan friendly so I can be prepared ahead of time.

In other news... my son started middle school last week, and rode the bus for the first time. He was extremely nervous as I've always taken him to school, but he's taking it all in his stride and has finally settled into his new routine. It's so hard watching him adjust, but he keeps telling me "stop worrying mom". Guess I should listen to him... he seems to have a pretty good handle on things LOL
