Finding My Motivation

I've been puttering along for a while, losing a few pounds, then gaining them back plus a pound or two. Trying to stay motivated is a challenge, since I'm an emotional eater, and food tastes good!
About a year ago, I ordered a new scale, based on the recommendation of a colleague who showed me the accompanying app for her scale. The app and the scale sync via wi-fi, and the app stores the data and has neat graphs to chart your progress.
Well, I finally took the scale out of its box Sunday night and set it up, almost a year after ordering it from Amazon! In addition to tracking weight, it measures and tracks other things like BMI, BMR, water, muscles, protein, and metabolic age. The weight and BMI numbers weren't surprising, but the others were! Wow! More like yikes! But knowledge is power, right? And for now, the scale, and the various numbers tracked on the app, are motivating me to do more walking, drink more water, and try to get more sleep.
