Challenges

When I started my first weight loss challenge I was scared. Scared that I would let the team down. Scared that I would let myself down. Scared I wouldn't be able to keep up with everyone and just plain scared I couldn't do it.

Since that first challenge, I have gone into many of them. Some with good results and some with not so good results. But that's okay, because being in these challenges helps me to stay more aware of how active or inactive I have been for a day. What I am really putting into my mouth on a daily basis while tracking my food. Making me more aware of how many calories I really do consume in a day.

Weight loss is not an easy job, but as they say anything rewarding is worth working for. Have a achieved my goals in these challenges? Nope! But that doesn't stop me from continuing to try. I am down some weight since my very first challenge and I have kept it off, so that in itself is progress.

Is it good enough for me? Nope. So I continue to try, to push myself, to make room for improvement, to be patient. The weight is not going to fall right off my bones, because it didn't just fall onto them either.

Anyone thinking of joining one othe challenges, I encourage you to do it. If you don't do as well as you wanted, just consider this, there is always the next time, but keep trying.
