Three Things I'm Thankful for Today
Friday, May 25, 2018
30 Days of Small Changes Challenge today is to write down three things I am thankful for today and to keep the list for a reminder later. I think the best way to save the list will be to make it my blog for today - so forgive my indulgence - but I hope this may encourage my Spark Friends to remember what they are thankful for as well! Here's to spreading the Spark!
1.) I'm thankful for my family. This may sound trite as so many of us default to this at Thanksgiving as we go around the table. However, today I truly am thinking of how thankful I am for each member of my family. My husband who loves me and shows me this in so many ways - particularly this weekend ans he has worked hard to pull our three children together this weekend to celebrate Memorial Day and my birthday together. My eldest son who is working hard to establish his career and make better choices and find his place in this family and this world. My Daughter who makes me laugh each and every day and is continuing to mature and thrive through her college career and at her internship and each challenge she faces. My youngest son who has just completed a great first year at a college far from home. He continues to amaze me with each step he takes and makes me a very proud mom.
2.) I'm thankful for the roof over my head. I type this as I hear the hammers and saws banging and buzzing while our addition is being built. We have spent the past 24 years in a small split entry home with our family of five and now that the kids are grown are adding a two car garage and bonus room to allow our family to have more storage and entertaining space as they start to bring new friends into our family including those that may become permanent members of our family at some point.
3.) I'm thankful that I have a body that allows me to move and to enjoy active time with my family and in this wonderful world that God has created.
So my Spark Friends, what are you thankful for today?
