I have been turning some positive goals into healthy habits! It seems all the small steps I have been taking have been equaling great strides. I'm starting to see the results that are going beyond the scale.
I am:
Stronger
Posture is so much better
Losing inches
Resting heart rate is now down by 20 points
Aches and pains lessened
Challenging myself for harder workouts
Disciplined when it comes to food portions, but also learning how to indulge with control. (My relationship with food is changing! YAY!)
Listening to the needs of my physical AND emotional health
This past week has brought some challenges where my focus had to be elsewhere, but I found that despite that I didn't slip much and kept at my workouts as if they were second nature.
Fitness
I met all my goals this week for two work outs a day except Friday (one workout) and Saturday (no work out, but was very active with gardening.) I found I was really challenging myself during my workouts. I am now feeling stronger so I stopped modifying a bunch of moves and just gave it a whirl. Squats are deeper, planks are being held for longer / higher off the ground, and I was actually able to do modified push ups instead of wall push ups! My hard work is starting to show!
Eating
Did great this week with the exception of a few indulgences towards the end of the week. We are back on track though! :)
Operation Hydration
Still hydrating with lots of water. I have still been staying away from calorie bomb drinks. I am still feeling ok with that and seriously have no desire to drink soda, huge lattes, or the occasional milkshake.
Stress Level
I ended up not going on the out of town trip that the game night group went on. The reason is that at the start of the week Bestie and I had a talk about her moving out June 1st. I confirmed with her it was time to go, but we agreed for the sake of the 30 plus years of friendship she threw away that there will be no drama. The morning of the trip I was nervous to leave the house with her in it alone since her MO is accidentally breaking stuff. However, my intention was to go despite all of that until she texted me saying she wasn't going to be home all day like she had agreed to be to take care of the dogs. She said it was work, but of course I later found out she got off work and hung out with he abuser. With that news I stayed behind to care for the dogs.
This past weekend I helped her pack up a good 40% of her room. By help I mean she sat there in a daze while I slammed stuff into boxes. She has this Friday thru Monday off with her moving on Saturday. Friday we plan on finishing her room and getting all the stuff staged in the living room so when she gets the truck it is grab and go. Funny enough though the game night group offered to help get her out. We said no, lets just have a party that evening!

So, we will be celebrating her gtfo!
Things I feel I can do better
-Nutrition! Right now I am already correcting where I slightly went off the rails.
-Keep up workouts!
-Focus on the business! :)
I hope everyone is well!
