I'm doing another awesome 8 week 5% challenge. And again I'm on the
A team, which I just adore! For those who aren't familiar, the point of this challenge is to lose 5% of your body weight in an 8 week period. You weigh-in each week, focusing on different "challenges" each week to help you learn healthy skills and to keep yourself accountable.
I've been VERY good about exercising for quite some time now. I've also been much better about eating more healthy foods, and keeping the not-so-much ones in moderation. I've been tracking, planning, prepping...for months. Recently I hit 30 pounds down from my heaviest, which is huge and awesome!
Snap forward to the past 2 weeks for weigh-ins and I keep going up a half-pound each week. Keep in mind, I'm exercising a minimum of 6 days a week, eating the right foods, drinking water, all the right stuff on paper. I'm a bit perplexed as to why this is happening and them I took my measurements for week 4 of the challenge (and one month into the program I'd been doing). HOLY COW I lost 10.75 INCHES off of my body! So, I'm not "losing weight", yet I lost almost 11 inches from all over my body, including over 4 just from my stomach. That's incredible! Apparently that whole "You lose fat and gain muscle" thing is true. If you look really hard, you can even see a little tiny bicep muscle forming in my arm....but you really have to look for it haha.
