Update on life

Things have been cruising along here. My younger son starts medical school in August. I can't wait for his white coat ceremony. I am one proud momma! He even has a girlfriend that he is very serious with. They both wear promise rings that they bought when they were in Israel on the birthright trip. I really like her and she has been good for my son also.
My older son went on a job interview, his first one in over a year. Keeping our fingers crossed that he gets this job. It will really help with the finances around here.
My granddaughter is graduating from Pre-K. She truly is the light of my life. I enjoy every minute with her. My son's spouse adopted her back in January and things are normal now for all of them. My granddaughter has seemed to accept that she has 2 daddies very well. She will correct you if you call me her mom. She'll say "no, she's my grandma!" She has a bubbly personality.
As for me, well I have been plagued with sinus infections, one after the other. My allergies have been awful to the point some days I can't even wear my contacts. I hate wearing my glasses, feel like it makes my face fat. But last week I had no choice but to wear them to work, and I got so many compliments. Felt strange.
The day before mother's day I am doing my third 5K race. My younger son and his gf are doing it with me also. I will be happy if I just make the same time I did back in March. I haven't been to the gym at all over the month of April. Tonight I went for a walk, the first one in weeks, with my son and we walked for 3400 steps! I felt great afterwards and we made a pact to walk again tomorrow night.
So things right now are looking good. Now it's time for me to take care of me and get this weight off so I can be healthier and around for a long time.
