We have been hosting a cat belonging to our neighbors who experienced some flooding when their sump pump failed. They rent and have been waiting for the landlord to make things right. Expecting workers in and out and knowing they'd be gone during the day, they asked us to host their cat, Porter. I was worried about Tony's reaction but followed the recommendations I've heard by secluding the new cat in one room. Our cat seems to have taken this all in stride though he'd love to get into the room and check things out more thoroughly. This is our Tony with his most skeptical face.
Porter hid and did not eat for a couple of days. He started eating but was still hiding till his family came to visit. That made him very happy and, I guess, since we were also present, he decided we were okay too. This is Porter. He loves belly rubs and just purrs and purrs.
Sometimes I think Porter looks like a bobcat but I don't think you can see that in these pictures. It's mostly his nose and when I see him from behind. Porter is much larger than our little Tony who is tall and long but thin.
I think Porter will go home soon. I hope so because I know he misses his home and his people.
