Using my job...

I work in retail, so my job consists of being on my feet all day. My boss is a fast-paced manager and always moving. Keeping up with her is sometimes a challenge. I know I can use this to my advantage in moving toward a healthier lifestyle.

I am fortunate as I can walk to work; which I do. Walking is also a great way to start the day. I usually wear my tracking watch to track my steps.

I do realize I need to sync the store exercise with my food choices which sometimes are not good choices. A healthy lunch for one thing. A healthy snack to eat before the walk home is another idea to implement. That way I don’t make the drugstore stop for junk food.

I also noticed that once I get home; the adrenaline is still going, so I’m still walking around for an hour or so doing chores. It takes a while for me to sit down and even then ….sometimes…I still want to be on my feet.

    That's awesome that you live close enough to work that you can walk there. Making better food choices will go a long ways to get you to your goal! I understand that feeling of still needing or wanting to do things when you get home. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
