Holding Steady: Wintry first half of April

Tuesday, April 17, 2018

Winter held on for most of April past, but the ice and light snow did not persist long, letting me take some walks.

My weight is the same, which is better than a gain.

I think walking around the block, but up the hill south of here might be a good habit to start for this spring. A few extra calories to burn plus strengthen my heart and lungs, and leg muscles as well.

Discipline has not been high on my list lately, which isn't a good thing.

But I am feeling fair well and content, enjoying what I do, and having some fun making youtube videos. I am not a 'creator' just a 'having fun' status on that. Some take it as a job. I've met lovely people on there and not so lovely.

I am hoping your health is well, your problems few, and moments of joy dot your days.

Walking is so good for so many reasons including relaxation and our mood picks up when we get out walking. I can't wait till I can walk properly again-dam gout!! But I'm working on that.
Keep up the good work Karen. I must go in to Youtube and see your videos. Take care emoticon

Sometimes a holding pattern, especially in winter, isn't a bad thing. I've been struggling with discipline, also, in that - I haven't got any :-). Lately, things have been a little stressful for me, and that tends to make me throw caution to the wind, food-wise. Maybe spring, when it finally gets here, will give us the motivation we need.

    Enjoy your walks!

Good to know you're doing well. Winter does seem to be holding on up north. While we're cooler then normal, Spring is certainly here. It's beautiful weather but with the high pollen count I'm still inside. Soon enough we'll all be complaining about the hot weather I suppose.

Sounds like a nice time with the Youtube videos. You have a good plan for walking.
