Getting back on track

Monday, April 16, 2018

I went on vacation to Mexico mid- February for 3 weeks. Walked in the mornings and played in the waves at the beach in the afternoon. I ate lots of freshly prepared foods but overdid it on the cerveza's on the beach late afternoons. When I got back home I had to go in for some surgery and things took much longer to heal than anticipated.
I got back to work last week and now I'm back sparking.

It feels good to be back. I totally fell off the wagon. I didn't track anything. I didn't exercise and the processed junk and frozen stuff started sneaking into my meals as I was too exhausted to prepare meals from scratch everyday. My husband is a good in the kitchen but we both totally fell out of our healthy routine.

Today I am back. Yesterday, I went and did a healthy shop - with a meal plan in mind.
I promised my husband that I would get back on track to making grab and go breakfasts and lunches. He loves them and works really early shift - starts at 4 am.... He's good with dinner ideas and getting that done - but I am the queen when it comes to early day meals.

We have a lot of work to do at home. We plan to sell our house and move out to our cottage in the late fall. 20 years of clutter to clear out of the house. Oh my. That will keep me busy for the next 6 months for sure.

Anyway - glad to be back. Had a spring mix salad for lunch with some roasted chicken breast. Drinking my water. And going for a walk before dinner tonight.

If you have fallen off the wagon - do one thing to get back on track. One thing that makes you feel like you are looking after you. as Nike ad's say - JUST DO IT!!!!!!!!
