December was my restart month, finally.
Tuesday, January 02, 2018
For quite a few months, in my mind, I kicked around restarting my better eating habits and exercise. But my heart was not in it.
Then sometime near the beginning of December, I started eating less, even though enjoying a holiday meal and some treats, still noticed the once a week weigh ins, showing some loss.
I weigh every week just to keep mindful of my size, not just when I am trying to improve my health.
I eat when I am hungry, keep distracted by doing things, and drink plenty of water or hot tea. I ride my recumbent bike that is located in a frozen unheated room 3 or 4 times a week until I reach 300 calories burned. At least you don't sweat much in a very cold room, and it encourages me to keep going.
I watch call the midwife while pedaling, if the internet is up. We are having extreme unusual cold snap. The other morning was 21 below zero. All week has been at most a high of 5 above.
Though I lost ten pounds, I don't' take it for granted. Do feel much more energetic, sleeping better, so many benefits to enjoy for January.
I hope that my friends here are thriving this winter, and will emerge like a butterfly out of a cocoon this spring.
