Starting Week 24! Staying on track. :-)

I am so happy!!! I got through the whole month of October including Halloween staying on track with a healthy diet. I ate one ounce of candy on Halloween and one doughnut during the month of October, but other than that steered clear of the unhealthy junk food that has always been a problem in the past. This time it wasn't even a struggle. My body is getting used to being fed well in proper portions and it doesn't even want excess or the junk anymore. Praise be to God on high!!!! I hope and pray this is a true lifestyle change and that I continue to treat my body well for the rest of my life. Focusing on behaviors and minding what thoughts flow through my head has made a HUGE difference. Along with feeling great and proud of myself for taking proper care of my body, I have lost over 30 pounds in 5 months. :-) It will be a struggle to keep my motivation going through the cold winter months making sure my body gets adequate rest and exercise. Winter is always so much more challenging for me than the rest of the year. But I am off to a GREAT start this season and one day at a time, one decision at a time, one behavior at a time I will keep moving toward a healthier happier me. :-)
