Trying this again!

Friday, September 08, 2017

So. I am back! Life has taken some unusual turns which have been easy to deal with by eating freely... so, as you guessed, I've gained weight back :( And I'm not feeling good about what I see in the mirror (because I know what I've done wrong and I also know better than to let this problem continue to slide, as it will be easier to lose the weight NOW then it will be once I get back to my heaviest weight 155! Currently, I am 148. I want to be 130, but I'd be more than happy with 135! So that means I have 148-135 = 15-18 pounds to lose!

Joe and I are planning a trip to Mexico in February 2018 and I hope between now and then, I can accomplish this goal! #PlanningForTheWin

I will start tracking my daily food again, and get a good idea of how many calories I already consume... then adding my fitness minutes, I want to get a handle on what my CURRENT body is doing and what this 40 year old version of me requires to stay at a much healthier weight!

I can do this!!! I really should take NEW before pictures for motivation!!! Why is this part so mortifying and hard to do!!!???

Hey there!!!!... glad you stopped by and that you are doing well. I am also still struggling. You know what you have to do and I know that you will do it!!!!! emoticon I'm glad to hear that you and Joe are doing well ... that trip sounds like fun, great time to go, especially if you live where it is cold! I am not here a lot but I do stop by and want to increase my time here... I am most ly on FB now with other SP friends. We do challenges and give each other support.

I am my heaviest and not doing well with losing right now but I am not going to give up! Well, I hope to see you here on SP... Thanks for the update! emoticon emoticon

Welcome back! LIfe happens for all of us. No harm, no foul. Look at it as a learning experience. You learned that you need the accountability, the support, or whatever else it is that helps you on the SparkPeople site. Personally, I hate tracking all my food worse than anything. I always thought of it as a time-consuming activity that "keeps me from living life" (in my old words). But guess what? It really does work, because it makes you aware of what you are actually eating, not just what you "think" you're eating (light years apart for some of us- a "bite" might be 2 tablespoons, which can really add up- look at nut butters, for instance!). Anyway, even though we don't know each other, here's one more voice to encourage you to stick with it, love yourself, treat yourself kindly, and have faith in yourself. You've got this! emoticon
