Finished New member challenge

Sunday, August 27, 2017

Been using the site for a bit over a month now, and have finished the new member challenge. I wanted to get back into calorie counting before the semester started, and I think that the habit has been established. I also have two dailies in Habitica about Sparkpeople, one for getting sparkpoints and the other for food tracking. This is part of a new set up I'm doing over there to have a less brutal set up so that I can switch classes. The new member challenge seemed targeted at people at the beginning of a weight loss journey, not in the middle like I am, but I'm glad I finished it. I didn't write down many of the things it was asking for, but I've been doing this for years now, just not very effectively. I am starting the diabetes challenge now, and we will see how that goes. I am a little leery of that, as the topics seem targeted at type 2s, and not for people that have had decent control for 20 years or 80% of their life.

My low weigh in was at -8 pounds compared to my spark people high weight, and -42 compared to my all time high, but it has not been that low for two weeks. That could be the strength training, or the scale being on a non-level surface.

Excited to ratchet in my tracking even more, and start the maintenance journey.
