I do love being at home---
It's comfortable----no worries---
My dogs, the Germans, and the wee spitfire of a cat, are here---and Himself--(altho something doesn't seem right , putting them all in that order)
I used to look at my Mom and DAD, and as they aged, I would wonder why she and Dad didn't travel more---They always made 1 trip a year, by car, to visit us, then head back to Florida where they lived--
I have to admit that I am becoming a homebody, like them----and it feels good!
To leave this place, means the Germans either have to be boarded , or someone must live here with them.
We did go to Hawaii, many years ago, when our daughter was about to have her first child.
I left the Germans we had at that time, with a dog sitter, who lived in our house while we were away--
We had Coal then, who decided to go looking for me ---Son #1, called us in Hawaii, and said, "Mom, you aren't going to like this, but, Coal has disappeared-
They found him in a swamp a day later---
It was tough being in a foreign country knowing yer dog is searching for you!
I'm telling you all about this, because next month is son#2. the Air Canada Pilot's wedding, and we are heading to Southern Ontario to attend---
I'm already worrying about what might happen--
We have a young girl going to live here--hopefully she can keep the home fires burning--
To-night is my Weight Watchers meeting and hopefully I've maintained the weight loss so far-
Losing weight takes time---patience----listening to the voices in my head--and not buying that ice cream!
Lord Love a Duck!~
