"The trouble is, you think you have time...."

Monday, August 21, 2017

I've seen this saying on a couple of spark pages. And how true it is! There comes a time when you know that you no longer have time. There are a lot of things I simply cannot do. My physical limitations, my financial limitations, my temporal limitations mean that there are a lot fewer options than there were 10 or even 5 years ago.

I saw the eclipse today--not the totality of it, but fairly good. There was only a very small sliver of gold left in the sky when I looked up wearing my approved sun-glasses. Outside, it was a bit cloudy but not dark in any sense. I'm so glad that I had the sunglass opportunity to see it on my own.

It's hard to deny science, after we've been so well prepared by scientists and astronomers for this eclipse, isn't it?

I did not take the above picture, but that's just about what the sun looked like where I live--with a bit less moon visible. Amazing!

Beautiful picture! So true the sentiment: "you think you have time". Carpe diem comes to mind--seize the day accuse you don't know what's around the corner. Take care! emoticon

I thought it was just storm clouds outside, so I took my dog out to do her thing. Turns out it was the eclipse, but too cloudy for me to see anything at all. Oh well--I had friends posting videos all over the place.

We were able to see it at almost full totality here, and my son was able to see full totality just a bit southwest of us. Amazing and eerie.
