Starting Again, New Doctor and a Baseball Game!

Friday, August 18, 2017

So, it's been a while since I last posted. But I'm doing well and moving forward!

In May I had my gallbladder out. I had a 1" gallstone that had been causing me pain for a long time. It was time to say goodbye to that bad boy! I am feeling better and learning to deal with my new digestive system challenges.

At my visit to my endocrinologist yesterday I found out that I have lost 7 lbs since my last visit about 3 months ago. Hooray! Now to go buy a belt...my pants won't stay up!

My endocrinologist is new to me as the old one left to go to a different facility. I am so happy to start over with this doctor! He listened, he cared, he offered advice and encouragement! He "sparked" me to continue my weight loss journey with more enthusiasm and determination.

Tonight I have a baseball game, CO Rockies vs. Mil. Brewers, and I've been thinking all day about the choices I'll make for food and beverages at the game. I had a decent breakfast and lunch (love Whole Foods!) but I am a little short on calories for tonight. I will not beat myself up if I go over for the day, but I am determined to track and to still make good choices, even if I do go over.

Welcome back. Good luck with the new doctors. Since having my gallbladder out my IBS is back. Trying to keep things regulated can be a challenge. I hope you don't have any. Enjoy the game tonight
