Just Checking In

Hi SP Friends!
I hope you're having a good Summer & you're taking good care of yourself.
I am absolutely fine and so is life. You know, we over eaters, can be OCD. I found after my many years on SP, I was spending way too much time on the site.
Life does not happen online. Life happens when you're out & about.
I have made so many good friendships on SP... I feel a little guilty, for my absence.
My job is still humming along. I am back to volunteering, which I love. I'm involved with a local theater group & volunteering at a Hospice center, near my apartment.
My son is doing great. Loves his job here. He just snagged an apartment in my complex & will move in Sept. 1...I'm BLDG 1 & He'll be BLDG 9. Right across the lake.
I am planning my Fall trip to Europe- 1 week in England, visiting my friend & a 2 week cruise to the Mediterranean.
I hope I didn't cause you too much worry.

    It's so good to hear from you and that you are doing well! I'm glad you are living life and happy while doing it. I agree that SP is like most online sites, geared to make that dopamine kick in with each "point" we click for. What good are points anyway??? We have to remember to use it (SP tools), and not let it use us!

    It was so good to hear from you and to know all is well. I so totally agree with you that the fact of constantly being online doesn't help us reach our goals.
    I know you will be so happy to have your son just across the lake from you. And it sounds to me like you're pretty active with volunteering, your theater work, etc. Good for you!!!

    Like I said in my blog, I wonder how many hours I've spent in front of a computer to make it to the level I'm on. Unless my computer is at a standing desk (which it isn't), I'm getting nothing physically demanding from sitting here, reading and commenting. emoticon

    Sounds like good times. I'm getting excited to come to Florida again in September. I think we're there the 15th through 29th or 30th. Then we'll be back December 30th until January 27th or so. My son will be joining us in January for hopefully a week
