When you make the effort and it doesn't show

Not only does it not show, but the scale moves in the wrong direction. This happened to me today. It's ok. I pretty sure I know what happened. Too many carbs, too much sodium, and I'm a bit constipated. It all adds up.
I purchased a used, Marcy bike at my local thrift store this week. They normally go for $150.00 but I picked this one up for $20.00. I know have a complete home gym. I have dumbbells, a kettle bell, and a weight bar. That is all you need for a full body workout.
Right now I am drinking Smooth Move tea and a large glass of water.
I have worked out consistently for 2 weeks now and I'm not going to let that number I saw on the scale this morning make me panic and give up.

    No cause for panic. You're doing what you need to do to set yourself up for success. Keep making healthy choices.

    And, like you, too many carbs will get me EVERY time. It can get pretty ugly in my body if I allow my carb intake to escalate. I also pay for it in terms of pain. Yeah. Not worth it for me.

    Some people have suggested taking measurements because inches sometimes come off more easily than pounds.

    Good job on keeping forward progress! That scale will cooperate eventually. :-)
