Evenings are the worst!!

Every day I feel pretty good about my eating decisions. Then I get home and it all goes to S#*! It's like I have a switch in my brain that says "hmm it's 8:30 lets ruin all you've worked for today!" AAAGGGG!! I need to work on my evening snacking. I've even contemplated putting myself to bed when the kid goes to bed. Of course then I will have the added burden of knowing the the laundry, dishes.....aren't getting done!

I feel like this is my biggest hurdle. I will work on it!

    I also went through this phase, man it's the worst!!! I had to trick myself or block myself. A couple of things I did was, brush my teeth, Drink a big glass of water, or eat a small bowl of yogurt to satisfy the urge. Think of this as your body going through detox. Stay strong!

    Oh my dear..you are not alone...Why is it...we work all day, but, once we're home and 'relaxing' our snacking switch goes on...
    I keep healthier snacks at home....yogurt covered raisins, yogurt, fruit...and always water...Have a piece of dark chocolate...that will calm your sweet tooth..

    I knit and do stuff with my hands too.I also don't like to mess up my kitchen after I have cleaned it so always clean up after dinner !

    At 8:30 up are you hungry? If so, how about having something FULL of protein? Do you like oatmeal? Quakers (and some off names no doubt also) has fiber oatmeal. It keeps you full ,,taste good (I get the maple and brown sugar ,, they also have cinnamon). If we eat something we enjoy, has a lot of fiber (or protein LOL It's fiber week,, plug ,, plug).

    Or are you as I am tonight (LOL NEVER EVER will I buy candy from a nice fancy store again !! YO ! It's SUPER good, but it was quite a bit ! It was 20 $ For like 12 pieces ! AND it was your average size candy from a candy store. The store is in a tourist trap. I did NOT realize how MUCH it was adding up to. Normally I'd NOT do that, but my pesty little sister (Ok friend who ACTS like one) kept saying "Don't you want to weigh it?" in a voice that GRATES on me.

    If you have something you WANT TO EAT and if it's in the house quite a bit,,, may wish to rethink that/those items. Instead have something else you can eat that fit the above, but not as if your like me,,, chips. If they are here no MATTER the size,,,, they WILL be GONE ASAP !!!

    The only way to break the habit is to not buy and have unhealthly snacks in the house. Celery, carrots and bell peppers are crisp and require chewing and taste good to me. It helped?

    I knit, bead, embroider...anything that requires both hands. Keeps me occupied and there's something to show for your time. You'll figure this out; don't give up!
