Rules For A Healthy Living

A friend shared this on another site and I think it’s something that will hopefully keep me accountable. I don’t know where this originated from.
Soda/Water: I quit drinking soda about 4-5 years ago, but recently had a few in the past month. I was quickly reminded that it was gross and made me feel ill.
Alcohol/Tea: I don’t drink a lot. If I do its’ vodka and whatever juice I happen to have. I tend to drink tea more during the Fall and Winter.
Sugar/Fruit: I do eat a lot of fruit, but I need to work on less sugar intake. Cutting out the junk sweets.
Meat/Vegetables: I haven’t eaten a lot of meat lately. Maybe because it’s Summer and I don’t like heating up the kitchen….or cooking. I haven’t really missed meat though. I have had lots of Summer vegetables this season.
Driving/Walking: I’m fortunate to live where I can walk to almost everything I need…even work! I need to start remembering to wear my watch that calculates my steps. Get the 10,000 steps in!
Worry/Sleep: I’m not a good sleeper these days. Heat and humidity are a small part of it. I am working on solving some worries and letting go of others that I can’t control.
Anger/Laughter: “Laughter is the best medicine.” I believe this. It relieves stress and a good laugh will also make a bad day better.
Words/Actions: “Actions speak louder than words.” Another one I believe in. It’s one thing to say you are going to do something, it’s better to actually do it. That’s one reason I’m back at Spark.
Less really is more.
