Well, $#%& just got real. I just found out that I have fatty liver, via an ultrasound test (oddly, the blood work done at the same time showed normal liver values - go figure). My doctor was a little light on the details of what to do about it (other than fairly generic things like improve my diet, eat more plant-based food, exercise more, lose weight, etc.). She was, however, painting a fairly ominous picture of what would happen if this progresses, leading all the way to cirrhosis, which put a good scare in me.
I've known I need to make some significant changes to really make progress in losing weight (instead of the forward & back stuff I've been stuck at the past few years). Maybe a positive thing I could make out of this scary diagnosis is to really implement some significant changes - in diet, in exercise, in attitude.
