When Things don't go as planned on the Comeback Trail

Saturday, July 15, 2017

Hi Friends!

So good to be back to my blog, albeit in the early morning hours! emoticon

Y'know when you plan things and things don't go as planned? Well...

So as some of you know, I started a new job! It's been difficult because the setup is crazy...Still waiting for a security pass to get on the floor, a computer, a phone, access to shared drives. Top security for this department! And i got stuck with doing nothing for 3 WEEKS! emoticon

Anyhow, gonna get my security pass and ID on Monday and finally work i guess on friday emoticon

So, I've lost weight, and am within 3 pounds of my goal weight! emoticon But let me tell ya, prepping for my breakfast, lunch and dinners for the week on WEEKENDS is giving me time for Nothing else!! emoticon Now, if you look on my other blog, it mentions that Change is inevitable and Growth is optional, right? Well, it's time to grow now, i realize, regroup and Change! I know some of you have seen me cook my 3 entrees and breakfasts but It's difficult making an entree, let alone three that will taste good. I mean, let's face it, it's leftovers all week emoticon Yep, for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Then let's not forget how there was always some fire I've had to put out in my personal life after work since i started the job. That was so Strange! A friend of me told me "Disappointments happen every 3-5 minutes of the day". emoticon

Now i love how you guys have cheered me on too. But it's been a struggle! I guess I'm gonna have to grow and look up quick healthy recipes. But i can't find too many in my google search! So i guess i need to look at Pinterest. emoticon

Anyow, lots of changes and growing and it's a bit overwhelming emoticon emoticon Take a close look at that picture: There's a DRINK in my hand.

Anyhow...I have to admit i feel better writing this blog. I know my friends are probably wondering about me, even though i logged into SP with my entrees and exercise and such.

Keep on fighting my friends! I'm Fighting Right Along With Ya! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Good to hear you're back. Yes, new jobs are stressful in a lot of ways, and yours seems even worse since they've given you NONE of the tools you should have.

As to the food...........is a struggle at times for all of us. There are a few sites out there with healthy recipes, but, I know, there are a lot that don't offer very healthy ideas. Might try looking for vegan or vegetarian ideas--can always add meat to a menu.

We know the journey can be hard. We're with you.

Any possibility you can do slow cooker meals and just add fresh produce to the plate at meal time? I do this with bean/meat combos, or salsa/chicken that I throw on top of a salad... I also have purchased packs of eight chicken thighs and marinated
