This June has been hard. The first week and half I was helping taking care of my dad 24/7 with a couple days off. I was with him on his last night. It was a long night. The next day, I held his hand as he took his last breath and went to see his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The next week was spent planning his funeral on June 15th. It was a God honoring and a celebration of Dad's life. It lasted almost two hours, but it was also a mini concert as dad loved music.

I had 5 of my grandchildren the next couple of days. And on Sat June 16 we went the Pikes Peak Festival where I delivered some of the tartan things that I had made.

Then the week of the 19th I spent getting my house back in order. I hadn't had a chance to clean since the beginning of May. I also started work on a hostess kilt skirt - the last of my tartan orders.

I am excited to start the Summer 5% Challenge on Saturday. The LTGL challenge this week is to list 3 things about me on a daily basis and blogging is a way to do it. I used to blog daily, so this will help. I am ready to get my focus back. I really want to lose this weight. My naturopath doctor had given me a leptin resistant diet in April and I had started it and lost 8 pounds. I haven't been able to focus on it this last month and now I need to get back on track!

You've dealt with so much recently. I hope now your life will settle down into a routine and you can focus on you again. emoticon

I understand what you are dealing with and even though we know a parent or loved one has gone home and we celebrate their life, it still takes a mental toll on us. You will get back on track and do better than ever. emoticon emoticon

I am so sorry to hear of your Dad. I know you will miss him. Glad you spent some time with your grandchildren. My daughter & granddaughter returned a couple of weeks ago from a trip to Pikes Peak. I, too, am looking forward to the challenge. Have a great journey.
