Help! I've hit a bump and I'm falling off the wagon...

Friday, April 21, 2017

I'm a junk food and sweet fan and I'm ruining everything now because there are too many leftover sweets from the holiday. Ohhh Chocolate...my love!

One year ago I stopped my diet after Easter thanks to the sweets and it took me till February, just 2 months ago to get back on track. Now I'm afraid I'm going to stop. My health can't afford to wait another year. I must lose this weight!

Help me get back my motivation! It seems if I stay completely away from sweets, I don't want them. I know what I have to do, I know how to do it, I just NEED to do it. When I get like this I don't even want to exercise either.

Don't give up! Look @ what you were doing when you were having more success. Sometimes it's about getting back to basics.

HUGS and good luck to you.

I totally understand how you feel. I have been on a plateau for several weeks and even gone up 3 pounds. It is heart breaking and I have wanted to quit; especially since I have kept up with my exercise and healthier food choices. However, I had to give myself a little pep talk and remember how far and how hard I have worked to get where I am. It is not worth it to give up... our health and well being is just too important. So, go ahead and do what you know you need to do to keep going. I am and we can do this together! emoticon

I usually don't have a sweet tooth, but if I have desserts three days in a row it takes me a month to get rid of the daily cravings (usually in the late afternoon.) But I do know that abstinence does work and I will be much happier if I ignore those cravings for awhile. You can do it too!! It may help to list the specific cravings and match them with a healthy alternative. Chocolate? Have an apple. Cookie? Have a celery stick with hummus.
Beer? Have a big glass of water with a splash of lemon juice.
