Coming up for air

Friday, April 21, 2017

I will be turning 40 in June and have spent much of my 30's doing the up down up down weight loss game. I have been a gym rat and a couch potato. This last year my family and I experienced 5 losses 2-- that were particularly devastating my sister, and my mother in law. 1 we knew was coming--my mom in law had cancer for the 2nd time, but my sister was out of the blue. I am a faithful person, and know Heavenly Fathers plans, but it is still hard.

I have really taken the last 6 months to process, and just be. I needed healing time, positioning time, and a few Oreo parties. I have felt for the last month that I was ready to just do/be more.

So today I stepped on the scale----I have gained 25 pounds!!! This is on top of the 100 I had to lose, YIKES!!!

So I am committing to being back at it on Monday, meal planning, prepping, and shopping this weekend. My hubby who has also gained 25lbs is joining me on this ride, as well as our 13 year old daughter.---She just doesn't know it ;)

I hate to see how the way I eat/live affects my daughter. She is a beautiful girl, and well within proportion for her 13/14 year old self---but she is the size I was when I was a senior in high school. I worry about that. Not the scale, but the clothing size. She is tall, thank goodness, but I do worry about her future.

I home school, so I am working on adding in a gym class daily, whether we walk outside for 10 minutes, ride bikes or go swimming. I just need to get her and myself more active.

That's it for today----Monday will be a big day.

Cheers!

Hattie

Congratulations on including your whole family in this new meal plan. Don't beat yourself up about the gain, I know my gains are usually from emotional eating too. Just focus on getting back to where you want to be. Best wishes
