28 lbs down & so happy

Twenty-eight pounds off in 15 months! I'm a bit disappointed in not making it to 30 lbs, my Healthy Wage wager, by the deadline, but I've thought it over & decided to extend my regular payments for another six months (the only extension option) as an investment in myself--a time to lose the final 2 lbs, maybe more, & reestablish the healthy maintenance habits that will keep them off. At the end of the six months I'll get back more than half of what I will have put in since January 2016; $679 is nothing to sneeze at!
I am feeling & looking significantly slimmer than I did that January. When I lose those last 2 lbs, I'll celebrate by posting a new "after" photo here!
I'm happy about a number of other things too:
1. The possibility of downsizing my home this year. I've gotten prequalified & have found several condos in the neighborhood that I think I would love to live in--plus I will be saving about half of what I'm currently paying! Meeting up with my realtor Friday morning.
2. Being single. I cannot express how I love the freedom from emotional drama.
3. Creative juices flowing in art & writing. Completing projects that I feel really good about; starting others. Involvement in SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators).
4. The happy, productive lives that my children are leading. Also, of course, my sweet & brilliant granddaughter (she's barely six & already reading chapter books on her own!).
This morning I read the article linked here on making your early morning peaceful & productive. It's one of the best Spark articles I've seen in a long time!
