March was a challenging month. Here's my chart.



Looking a little slim near the end of the month. That's when I had a few days without electricity and the next week my Fitbit died (horror of all horrors - emoticon ). After that I sort of lost my movitation/desire/direction, etc. etc. to pick it back up again.

I have a game that I play with my grandkids called "spin". And it's exactly like it sounds - they close their eyes and turn around and around trying to make themselves dizzy. While they are turning, I yell out "turn, turn, turn, faster, faster, turn, turn, faster, turn, turn, stop. When they stop, they pretend to fall as if they are dizzy. Then they get up and say "do it again"! And of course, I do it again. That's exactly how my life felt - I keep going around and around and around and then I stop (mainly because I need sleep), then I start going around and around again!! In the meantime, I eat more "not good" things than I should and not exercise enough - a deadly combination.

This past week, our department had a face-to-face team meeting (some of our colleagues work remotely) for 2 days. I was on vacation the Friday and the Monday before the meeting and I'm not even going to record how many steps I took over those days because ..... (do I really need a reason). Then there were the 2 days of eating (and a team dinner) during the team meeting - did I mention that I was the one in charge of the menu!!! By Thursday, I was exhausted - too much food and not enough exercise will do that to you!

Then I decided it was time to get back on track. I talked myself into not doing an April calendar and just starting again in May. Then I thought to myself that it's only the 14th of April (not quite halfway through the month). So I can either start again in May weighing more since I had two days of bingeing or I can make the most of these last two weeks of April and go into May weighing less than I did when April started. I chose to make the most of these last two weeks of April - yeah me!! emoticon . So I bucked up and got on the scale -190.4. (My usual is 187.6 thru 188.4.) Writing this I can't believe I was going to actually wait until May 1 to make another calendar. But that will not be - calendar is done and already has stars. I'm back!!!

And with that, I'm off to get in a good walk in the park!
