New Start

It's been a while since I've logged in to Sparkpeople. I was frustrated and didn't want to log in and be reminded of how much weight I lost and then gained back. For over two years, I've tried to get back to healthier habits, but no success. Step by step, I've been trying to get mentally ready for this change. This week, for the first time in 2+ years, I have stuck with eating healthy for 5 days in a row. This probably doesn't sound like much, but for me, this is HUGE. With every day, it's made me stronger and more determined that I can do this. I did it before and I can do this again.

For the first time in several months, I stepped on the scales today. I had to weigh myself 8 times before I believed the scale. It dipped into the OTHER direction and I've lost weight! It's definitely a HAPPY St. Patrick's Day for me today! It's just a small step, but it's the FIRST step for me in a while.

    Welcome back. You can do this. Like Hyatt above me said, you didn't gain overnight, you won't lose overnight. Just change one thing at a time and you will get where you want to be.

    That is great, keep it going. Remember, we didn't gain it over night, we can't expect it gone overnight.
