Slow and steady

I was just thinking about my progress so far. I have kept track of my weight in a journal. In the month of January I lost a total of 20.4 lbs. In the month of February I lost a total of 8.2 lbs. I have to say that I was really disappointed in my weight loss last month. I am happy that I still lost weight, but I just wish that it was closer to my numbers from January. I still have 77 lbs to lose to reach my goal of 150. My birthday is 16 weeks away. If I were to reach my goal by my birthday then I would need to lose almost 5 lbs per week. I know that is asking for a bit much. I know that I will reach 150, but it just may take a little longer than I wanted. If I were to lose 2 lbs a week then that would bring me to around December 2nd. I have to remember to focus on the fact that I am still making progress. It is really starting to show too! My clothes fit me much differently! My wedding rings are even getting lose. I am going to have to start adding exercise to my routine. I know that it will be easier to do when summer rolls around...I just wish I still had a treadmill. That definitely made it much easier to get a work out in every day.

    It sounds like you are doing great. From everything that I've read when people lose it slowly they are much more likely to keep it off. Slow is a good thing!
