Feeling good

Wednesday, February 22, 2017

Day three in a row that I have eaten as many vegetables as I can stand. I have been buying these big bags of 'vegetable medley' its cut up broccoli, cauliflower, and baby carrots, then I just snack on it all day. It works pretty well, but after a while I feel over full but not really satisfied.

I'm hoping my body will get used to it so I can actually feel satisfied when I eat enough.

3 days of nothing but that to snack on would make me very tired of them and never want them again LOL

I once did a diet that was a meal plan diet and called for a lot of deli turkey as snacks. I love turkey when I cook it at home and eat it, but I can hardly eat a slice of the deli meat kind anymore because it tastes like a block of salt to me YUCK!

Using the vegetable medley as a keep your hands busy is so much better than chips or pretzels or the other "satisfying" items!!! But really, do we even eat those things because we are hungry? I usually don't. I eat them to satisfy my hand to mouth habit.

Be sure to mix it up and try some different things to snack on. Still get your veggies in because that is GREAT, but find some other items that are a little more satisfying to you and don't leave you feeling so deprived.

    Best of luck and emoticon

It sounds like you need to spice it up a bit! There are plenty of ways to make gnawing on vegetables more enjoyable. Try going after the sweeter tasting veggies like red bell pepper and regular sized carrots. Their crisp snap and the sweetness satisfies cravings of mine. There's also sweet peas. Throw in a few tablespoons of cottage cheese as well, this protein packed ingredient is also another go to item for me. :)

I only eat foods that I like If you don't really truly like it you will never feel satisfied For me this is a lifestyle & it's gotta be one I love or its not going to work - long term/forever.
