What I have noticed

Thursday, February 16, 2017

It has been just over 4 weeks since I have changed my eating habits and began to consistently work out. This is what I have noticed.

I feel so much better. My aches and pains seemed to have dissipated and my body actually misses when I back off and I have a rest day. My lower back and hip pain is feeling so much better overall.

I eliminated the majority of processed foods from my diet. Eating fresh fruits and veggies as much as I can and increasing my protein. I believe I have been feeling so much better because of this change as well. Yesterday due to a crunch in time I settled for a bowl of cereal for breakfast and then one for supper. My lunch was a big salad with lots of veggies. Today I feel sluggish and bloated and I think this is due to my bad choices of having too much cereal overall yesterday.

So today- now that I know my body does not like so much of that - I will make sure that I don't use that as my fall back. I can just as easily grab some protein and some veggies which will make be feeling better.

This time around I am more observant of how different foods make me feel. Good and bad. For me this journey is not one of weight loss but of just a healthier, happier me.

I'm starting to notice how foods effect ME, too!
I'm thinking I am bloating after eating yogurt. What do I do about that? I don't want to NOT eat it.

I was just telling someone at church tonight that my pains seem to have subsided with water, healthy food choices, and exercise. I began changing those habits in December. To a healthier, happier you! (and me!)

That is such a breakthrough isn't it, to be able to tie food to how it makes your body feel...: even if the calorie count is lower. Kudos to you!
