Why is it that as soon as you tell yourself something is "forbidden", you want it even more?? Ugh. And why CAN'T I have bread, pasta, sushi, or potatoes once in a while? I understand that if I'm going to do it, it ought to be earlier in the day so I can burn it off. I also know not to have it all the time...just seems like, during my comp training, I want it so much more...help? Advice? Suggestions? (And don't tell me to eat an apple when what I really want is garlic bread. I'm sorry, but that's a poor substitute.)

    Can't you have it in moderation? There are things I shouldn't eat, but since i don't eat it often I will treat myself but just a small amount. Bread I get the breads from the deli no preservatives.

    I understand how you feel. My Dr told me to cut out the bread, pasta, and potatoes. I admit I've still had potatoes a couple times but just ate a small amount.
