since joining spark people I have been really trying to sit back and observe my eating and food behaviors. I have come to realize that I eat on cue not from hunger. in fact I rarely give myself time to experience true physical hunger. grazing has become a habit for me. when I get my water I grab a snack granted it is a very small treat but it is off plan even if a single sugar free candy I eat when I watch tv or read a book ( reading is a passion for me)
I have started a plan to address this hunger that is associated with watching tv. I now have several puzzle books and some coloring books. while I am watching tv I will be utilizing them as they keep my hands full and my mind occupied. I also will work on my weekly menu and groc list during this time. I plan is to do this for one month and then evaluate how it is working and then I will move on to another area where my mind hunger gets in the way of weight loss.
