Earlier in the week, my husband announced that we were going out to dinner - to a pub - for dinner on Saturday night. When you add that to an already busy day filled with a hair appointment and errands, not to mention housecleaning - I was feeling crabby because I was sure that it would be a day lost. Before my plan, that would have been the end of the story. I would have allowed the day to control me, and I would have felt frustrated, defeated, or worse, I would have felt nothing - just not cared.
New year- new plan. So instead of letting Saturday control me, on Tuesday, I planned my Saturday. When I woke up this morning, I knew exactly what I needed to do. I bounded out of bed and got a workout and a healthy breakfast in before my hair appointment. I printed off the menu to the restaurant on Tuesday and made my decision for what to order after when I wasn't hungry. I've worked out the calories for my order, and what changes I am going to ask them to make. No guessing allowed. It is mid day Saturday and I feel in control of the day and am actually looking forward to going out to a restaurant with my hubby tonight! Win!
