Here I go again!

Thursday, January 19, 2017

Well its been 5.5 years since I had gastric bypass surgery! I was originally 372 pounds, got down to 165 through a combination of using Alli, gastric bypass, and all on my own (I lost about 84 pounds prior to having gastric bypass surgery). My life has changed so much! A lot of it for the better. I have a boyfriend whom I love dearly. emoticon We met in April 2016 and are living together now. I have a job that I love still, doing medical transcription from home and also a part-time job as a caretaker. My dad passed in February 2016 emoticon I'm still trying to get back in college. I've missed two semesters due to finances. I was blessed to move in a house that needed/needs a little fixing.

Somewhere along the line I've gain weight! Life, family, love, sadness, joy, sorrow, worry, moving, home owner, job; all the things we go through in life. I was ashamed at first for gaining some of the weight back, but at least I am aware of it and its not too out of control like before.

WHAT I STOPPED DOING THAT MADE ME GAIN SOME OF THE WEIGHT BACK: I stopped being consistent. I stop putting nutrition and exercise at the top of my priorities. House repairs, cooking and cleaning, taking of my dog and my boyfriend came before exercise and tracking my calories! I went from exercising 4 to 6 days a week to 1 to 3 days a week and some weeks no exercise! I went from tracking my food 5 to 6 days a week to none!

Okay now I am making me a priority again; 4 to 5 days a week exercise and tracking my food everyday!

DAY 1: (01/19/2017) back to basics with my girl Leslie Sansone 4 mile power walk.
